Step into Spring!

I don’t know what it’s like in your neck of the woods, but here in the UK we are still waiting for spring to truly arrive! This week’s makes will hopefully help to banish those grey day blues!
First off is Debs Wainwright, with a truly stunning floral watercolour using Brusho. She’s broken it down step-by-step and I promise that it’s not as hard as it looks to get these spectacular results. Next up is Riikka with her springtime fairy, inspired by Finnish poem The Wood’s Light Daughter. Read her story and find out how she used her theatre stills to make this art doll from scratch. We are also delighted to have Marsha Valk join us this week as guest designer! Her video is all about colour mixing, inspired by the spring 2018 Pantone trends.
And there’s more (see below) – I really hope you enjoy it all.
PLUS: Erica Evans’ Mixed Media Play video combines Distress Oxides with photo paper to create gorgeous layered backgrounds – and she shares a happy accident that creates a stunning and unexpected effect!
In a piece from our Archives, Asia King upcycles a cheap and cheerful lamp into a Parisienne beauty! She shows you how a few simple materials can take something from drab to chic and shabby!
We chat to artist Tracy Weinzapfel about her colourful creations!
