Work with us

Submissions

Unlike many magazines, we have a totally open submissions policy – anyone, anywhere in the world is welcome to make a submission to us. Whether you are an established artist or you’ve never been published before, we’d love to hear from you. We are looking for inspirational, high quality mixed media projects in all genres. Our product is aimed at artists of all levels of experience, so anything mixed media goes!

Initially, please send us three samples of your best work and a link to somewhere online we can see your work (blog, Instagram feed, Facebook page). Alternatively, firm project ideas with sample pics are even better!

Our projects are step-by-step or video tutorials in the main but we also feature ‘how tos’, interviews, and articles on specific areas of crafting (for example we’ve had pieces on mail art and faith journalling).

We have optional themes for each issue – these are for guidance only and will represent only a proportion of the content for that month. If you don’t like the theme, feel free to submit something different!

Industry pARTners

Our philosophy at Mixed Up is to work alongside the arts and crafts industry to support fellow businesses in the sector.

Our pARTners are businesses who we work with on a scheduled programme of articles, advertising, reader offers and social media sharing over a period of 6-12 months. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship, where we work to actively promote one another and the services we offer.

We are also looking for partners for our downloadables content and there’s of course the option for businesses to work with us on a one-off or more occasional basis.

Our purpose in forming partnerships is to be just that – partners. Mixed Up does not have a sales department and we guarantee no sales pitches. Just honest, straightforward information.

If you’d like to work with us we’d love to hear from you. Contact Katy (Editor) on katy@mixedupmag.com for more details.
